Why, How, What?

We’re on a mission to make property investment accessible to everyone — helping people invest from as little as £100, all the way up to £100 million+.

It’s time the housing market was brought into the 21st century, to benefit tenants and investors alike. Using a revolutionary data-driven approach, we’ve created a simple, hassle-free way for people to invest in Britain’s favourite asset class from the comfort of their own home. Backed by the likes of Zoopla and LocalGlobe, we’ve assembled a smart, collaborative team from the worlds of tech, property and finance.

We've recently raised £4.7m in Series A Investment, adding to an already exciting time for the business, as we invest in technology, people and extend our proposition further.

Job requirements

The tech stuff

Our platform takes the sting out of property investment, and ensures tenants get better homes. To help us achieve our goals, we’ll need your expertise — including knowledge of Python (essential for this role) you’ll ideally have experience within these areas too:

Databases (any SQL based, we use Postgres)
    Cloud infrastructure (we use AWS)

As well as the above, there are some skills that would be a bonus if you have already, but not essential at all.

Experience working on a data pipeline or ETL system
Working with geocoded data and technologies (e.g. Arcgis, Postgis)

Our tech team

You’ll be working with our CTO Richard Hodgson, who has spent more than a decade delivering web-based projects for the likes of BBC, Conde Nast and Northern Rock. Richard leads a close-knit team of engineers to deliver achievable solutions on everything from interface angst to annoying algorithms.

You’re passionate about

Solving complex problems in smart ways.
Collaborating with colleagues from a range of disciplines.
Working on meaningful challenges and making a difference.
    Delivering quality over quantity.

Working with us means

Growing in a vibrant tech business with lots of bright ideas.

Being empowered — you’ll never be afraid to share your opinion.

Working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with all the support you need.

Ready for a challenge? We love a self-starter, but when you join Bricklane you’ll get the support you need to make a difference.

The cherry on top

Flexibility: we’re open-minded about remote working so you’re empowered to do your job.

Personal development: we’ll support you with training opportunities to help you grow.

Holiday: 25 days annual leave + 1 extra day around Christmas (our present to you).

Socials: we like to get together as a team with regular activities and events.

Health: we offer Vitality healthcare to support your health and wellbeing, with discounts for gym membership and cinema tickets.
